President's Address

　　It is a profound honor to be elected as the President of the 12th Natural Medicine Society of Taiwan. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support of our esteemed members, and I am fully aware of the significant responsibilities this role entails. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest respect and gratitude to the past presidents, board members, and all scholars who have long been dedicated to the development of our society.

　　Since its inception, the Natural Medicine Society of Taiwan has remained committed to its core mission: advancing basic research, pharmacological mechanisms, quality assessment, and translational applications of natural products. We actively promote academic exchange across pharmacy, medicine, biotechnology, and related disciplines. Over the years, through the leadership of past presidents and the collective efforts of our members, the society has achieved remarkable research outcomes and steadily increased the visibility of Taiwan's natural product research within the international academic community. In response to the rapidly evolving global trends in natural product research, our current term will prioritize deepening academic rigor and enhancing research quality. We will encourage original and high-potential translational research, foster interdisciplinary integration, and strengthen international collaboration. Through academic symposia and collaborative platforms, we aim to elevate the international publication impact of our members' work.

　　Furthermore, the society will place a greater emphasis on nurturing young scholars and graduate students. By providing diverse opportunities for academic engagement, we hope to create an environment that fosters both mentorship and innovation, laying a sustainable foundation for natural product research in Taiwan. With the continued support and participation of all our members, I am confident that the Natural Medicine Society of Taiwan will continue to excel. Together, we will serve as a leading platform that connects domestic research with the global academic stage, contributing profound and valuable insights to scientific progress and human health.
